It can make for a pretty awkward day in front of the camera if we don't happen to vibe. However, if we do, we can create some real magic. Once the contract is signed and retainer is paid, I'm officially yours! You'll receive my Ultimate Wedding Planning Guide. It covers everything! We will be in contact as often as you need in order to feel prepared for your wedding day. We will work together to create a custom mood board. It’s time to capture this incredible time of your life with beautiful photos! Your engagement session is a great opportunity to get comfortable with me and my camera and practice taking pictures together. Plus, you can use the photos for Save the Dates, wedding websites, and more!
The BEST PART! It’s finally the day you officially join together with the love of your life! All that prep work we did is going to pay off :)
I will start with detail, venue and getting ready shots, and I'll prep you on how to be ready for my arrival. My ultimate goal is for you to have a relaxed and enjoyable wedding. So take it easy, have a mimosa, and let me take control of capturing the magic as it unfolds.
I loooove to send sneak peeks as soon as possible, so you will get them within 1 week after your wedding day! My goal is to get you those professional images so the first ones you share aren’t from an iPhone. You didn’t spend thousands of dollars for that kind of posting quality! The final delivery date for your full gallery of high resolution digital images will be within 6-8 weeks. Share them, print them, frame them, and ENJOY THEM! They are yours forever.
I give you all the beautiful moments I captured throughout your session or wedding, taking away the repeats, eyes closed, mid-talking, or unusable blurry images. I promise to never leave out an important moment.
You can expect to receive 50-60 fully edited images for every hour of coverage.
Please note: I never deliver RAW images.
I limit my wedding and shoot schedule each year in order to provide you with quick turnaround times:
• Lifestyle Sessions: 2-3 weeks
• Elopements & Weddings: 6-8 weeks
You will receive them in a gorgeous online custom gallery.
In order to book your date, I require a 30% non-refundable retainer at the time of contract signing. The remaining balance will be evenly split across 3 payments with the last being due 1 month before your wedding. I accept a variety of payment methods but my favorite is Venmo. If you need to use the other methods, I would be happy to invoice for that with an added transaction fee of 3.5%.
I will edit out blemishes, bruises, cuts, distractions in the background, and small things, but I will not make changes to your body. In the spirit of promoting body positivity and self love, my job is to emphasize your natural beauty. I want you to look like yourself in the photos I deliver. Don't worry, I will pose you in a way that is the most flattering to your body type.
Simply put, nope. Whether you're getting married mid-week or in the off-season, I still show up and give the same amount of effort, enthusiasm, love and time.
The only caveat to this rule is if you're getting married in one of my bucket list destinations: Iceland, Bali, South Africa, Italy, Spain, France, The Maldives, Portugal, Alaska, Fiji, and Greece.
If you need me to travel 50+ miles from Louisville, KY for WEDDINGS or 30+ for ENGAGEMENT sessions, I do require a travel fee. Some wedding locations may not apply.
If you are looking for destination weddings and elopements, I require travel and stay to be covered, but let's chat because every destination request is different.
I am here to offer you a safe and loving space to be yourselves no matter who you are, what you look like or what you believe in. My couples don't fall into any one category. They are simply in love.
I would describe my style as true to life and colorful. I want the images you receive to reflect what you saw and felt for yourself in the moment. My editing style is always evolving sometimes bringing in a a variation between darker and lighter tones + feeling based on the setting and lighting of the situation. Your gallery will include about 5-10% black and white images because I love how timeless they are, however not every photo is meant to be presented in black and white.
I've been a wedding photographer since 2018.
I will do everything within my power to be able to capture your wedding on the new date. As long as we maintain open and transparent communication when it comes to rescheduling to make sure I'm available for the new date. Depending on the timing of the reschedule (how close it is to your wedding date) I may charge a small rescheduling fee to reserve a new date. If you have to cancel your wedding altogether, I would hang onto the 30% retainer and any other payments made to date.
Your wedding is a TOP priority to me! Unless I am dying or stuck in a hospital bed, I will be at your wedding! However, in the event that happens, I have a handful of professional photographers who I trust to capture your wedding in my style. I'd handle the details and hiring and make sure the perfect person was sent to cover your day. When it's over, they would deliver the images to me and I would edit all the photos in my style.

I can offer endless support as it relates to photography and photo timelines. I also have a little black book full of all of my favorite vendors. If we are traveling, I am more than happy to research any vendor, location, or permit.
As far as actual wedding planning goes, I believe wedding planners are angels and absolutely necessary to create a beautiful wedding experience. I will leave that area of expertise up to them.
The BEST photographer!! Shelby was everything I could have imagined as a wedding photographer. She directed us how to pose & where to place our hands, etc. She was the perfect instructor (which is what we needed on a day where we had so much on our minds lol). She was also SO creative which is what I love the most. She took the most beautiful unique shots that I will treasure for the rest of my life. She was relaxed, cool & open to anything I wanted to try. I had so much fun & I think that is so important... to be able to enjoy your day and the entire experience. She made it all happen. She truly is the best!! I can’t thank her enough for capturing my favorite day with my favorite person :)
Thank you Shelby for taking our STUNNING elopement photos in Tahoe! We only met briefly over the phone the week before we eloped, but I instantly knew you were so kind, fun and understanding. You really went above and beyond when we met up on a dirt road and drove up to the waterfalls together, climbing on rocks and doing everything you could to get that perfect shot. And then after we got married, you were so GREAT! Celebrating with us and instantly making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. I was SHOOOOOK by our wedding photos... it was so amazing to get a few previews the SAME NIGHT we got married. And they were 1000% better than I ever expected- literally OBSESSED! We have shared these photos with our loved ones who couldn't be at the elopement because of COVID and they felt the magic and love in every shot. Shelby- you will do great things as a photographer and thank you again! To anyone reading this- if you are thinking of booking Shelby as your photographer, DO IT! She is worth every cent and then some! A hidden gem!
Shelby did an amazing job photographing not only our wedding but also our engagement! From the beginning she was extremely professional, organized and clearly loves what she does. For our wedding she sent out a detailed questionnaire of exactly who we wanted photos with, what vibe we were going for and much more. At the time I didn’t realize how helpful this truly was! The day of the wedding Shelby took the reigns and knew exactly where to be at the right time, without us feeling like she was in the way at all. She kept a list of who needed to be in photos and was great at organizing each shot in order to maximize the time we had. We were beyond elated once we received our photos! Every moment was captured beautifully and never filtered to look unnatural or unrealistic to who we are. Even with my husband having a critical eye for photography, as that what he does professionally, neither of us had any negative critiques for Shelby-she killed it!
